HE NEVER CAME HOME 💥 HEARTBROKEN MUM BREAKS HER SILENCE AS POLICE HUNT HIT-AND-RUN DRIVER WHO KI-LLED HER SON

Police are searching for the driver involved in a hit-and-run that claimed the life of a 20-year-old man south of Brisbane.

“He was a happy, friendly kid, who was always happy to help out, and just loved his family,” she told 9News.

Emergency services were called to Middle Road in Greenbank at 8.45pm, where they found the young man with critical injuries.

He died at the scene a short time later.

It’s understood he and a group of friends had gathered at the intersection for a hoon meet.

Police said witnesses gave conflicting versions of events, leaving authorities trying to figure out if he was struck by a passing car or left for dead by someone he knew.

Police are appealing for the driver of the vehicle to come forward.

“I do appeal for the driver or occupants of a white Toyota Landcruiser and a dark utility who were both seen in the area at the time of the accident,” Detective Inspector Ian Galpin said.

One witness told 9News the death was “really shocking and heartbreaking”.

“The fact that we couldn’t do anything either, it’s really shocking,” she said.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have dashcam, mobile phone footage or CCTV to come forward.
