Paramount+ has unveiled a first look at the highly anticipated second season of The Crow Girl, the compelling crime drama starring Eve Myles (The Guest, Gone) as DCI Jeanette Kilburn and Katherine Kelly (Mr Bates vs The Post Office, In Flight) as Dr. Sophia Craven.
In the gripping first season, Detective Jeanette Kilburn led a chilling investigation into the discovery of unidentified dead bodies around Bristol. Detective Jeanette Kilburn investigates the discovery of a mummified body in season two
The newly released images for season two offer a glimpse at what’s ahead, showing Jeanette peering into a church wall where a mummified body has been discovered. Another photo captures Jeanette and Sophia lying on the floor together following their friendship turning romantic at the end of season one.
This suspenseful drama had me glued to my screen when it premiered in 2025, and I’m already counting down the days until its return. Both Katherine Kelly and Eve Myles deliver brilliant performances in this adaptation of Erik Axl Sund’s bestselling Scandinavian thriller, which promises a “riveting” return.

The six-part season picks up after series one’s shocking cliffhanger ending which revealed Dr Sophia Craven’s true identity, while Jeanette found herself in bed with the psychologist after her marriage ended.
In season two, DCI Jeanette Kilburn’s hunt for the killers of young male asylum seekers takes a shocking new turn. A mummified body discovered in a church wall and a body in a freezer reveal a chilling connection.

Katherine Kelly returns as Dr. Sophia Craven
Katherine told HELLO!: “I’ve done a lot of character-heavy stories, where the characters are the story and the plot is secondary to that. This has a strong plot that is fast and dark and gallops at such a pace, but not at the cost of characters. This feels as though both are striding along together at the same time.”
Meanwhile, Eve described the storyline as “complicated and sensitive”. “It’s a procedural drama, but around that, we’re also dealing with women in powerful positions and relationships and sacrifices and everything that comes with having a big, important career,” she said.
What did viewers say about season one?
Viewers ripped through the first season, with many binge-watching all six episodes in one go.
Taking to social media, one person wrote: “Many plans/household chores cancelled today because now I have to binge watch #TheCrowGirl it’s fantastic,” while another encouraged others to tune in, adding: “If you haven’t already watched it, I would highly recommend #TheCrowGirl on Paramount+. I have to say, it was an absolutely outstanding show. It had me hooked.”
