BREAKING: PRIS0NER ON THE RUN AFTER DARING ESCAPE – POLICE REVEAL NEW DETAILS AND ISSUE CRITICAL PUBLIC ALERT
Northern Territory Police have launched an urgent search after a handcuffed prisoner escaped while being transferred into Royal Darwin Hospital on Sunday night.
Police said Isaac Thompson, 26, broke free from custody about 8.15pm as officers escorted him from an ambulance to the hospital’s emergency department.
At the time, Thompson was wearing only shorts and socks and remained handcuffed, according to NT Police.
Sergeant Kenneth Bradshaw urged the public not to approach Thompson, warning he is a known associate of the Mongols Outlaw Motorcycle Gang.
‘We’re asking members of the public not to approach him,’ he said.
‘If you see him, call Triple Zero immediately.’
Sgt Bradshaw urged Thompson to hand himself in.
Thompson was last seen running along Rocklands Road.
