A tragic crash in Stoneville has left three people dead after a vehicle veered off the road and struck a tree in the Perth Hills community.
According to police, the incident occurred on Stoneville Road at approximately 8:50am on Saturday morning. Emergency services rushed to the scene following reports of a serious collision, but despite their efforts, all three occupants of the car could not be saved.
In a statement, authorities confirmed the devastating outcome. “Three adults inside the vehicle received critical injuries and died at the scene,” police said. The impact of the crash is believed to have been severe, with the car leaving the roadway before slamming into a tree shortly before 9am.
Images from the scene show the extent of the destruction, highlighting just how violent the collision was. The stretch of Stoneville Road where the crash occurred has a posted speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour, though it remains unclear at this stage what factors contributed to the vehicle losing control.

Officers from the Major Crash unit have since launched a full investigation into the incident. Forensic teams are expected to examine the wreckage and road conditions closely, while investigators work to piece together the moments leading up to the crash. Police are also appealing to anyone who may have witnessed or has dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident to come forward.
The tragedy has sent shockwaves through the local community, with residents expressing their grief over the loss of life on what is usually a quiet suburban road. Authorities have urged motorists to exercise caution, particularly on regional and semi-rural roads where conditions can change rapidly.
As the investigation continues, police say their priority is to determine exactly how the crash unfolded and whether speed, road conditions, or other factors played a role. Further updates are expected as more information becomes available.
