Killer Jon Venables could walk free from prison within months after winning his latest parole bid.
The evil child killer, who murdered two-year-old James Bulger in 1993, has been recalled to jail twice since his first release for possessing sick child abuse images.
Venables, who was just 10 when he and Robert Thompson abducted and killed little James from a Merseyside shopping centre, is now expected to face parole chiefs again in the coming weeks, reports the Mirror.
It’s understood the panel could sit as early as next month, meaning if they approve his request, Venables could be out by the autumn.
His last parole plea was knocked back in December 2023 after officials ruled he remained a danger and had lied to probation officers.

But James’s devastated parents, Denise Fergus and Ralph Bulger, are said to be “raging” at the fresh bid.
They are preparing statements urging officials to keep their son’s killer behind bars, according to The Sun.
A source said: “It is outrageous he is getting another shot at freedom – how many chances does he need? If ever there was a case where they should throw away the key, surely this is it.

“The family have been assured he will be dealt with as a ‘high-risk’ case and it will take a lot to see him freed. But it is still a huge concern that he is allowed to re-apply so quickly. Denise and Ralph are angry and anxious.”

In a statement, the Parole Board said: “We can confirm the parole review of Jon Venables has been referred to the Parole Board by the Secretary of State for Justice and is following standard processes.”
Venables and Thompson were convicted in 1993 and each handed life sentences despite their young ages after torturing and killing James before leaving his mutilated body on a railway line in Liverpool.
In 2001, Venables was released after eight years in youth custody.
But just nine years later he was caught with vile child abuse images and sent back to prison.
He was freed again in 2013 only to be recalled in 2017 after further disgusting discoveries.
Despite a 40-month sentence, his past three parole bids have been rejected.
The former Justice Secretary Shabana Mahmood is previously said to have told James’ parents Denise and her ex-partner Ralph that she doesn’t want to see Venables freed.
