“The Voice” season 27 contestant Page Mackenzie is speaking out after the NBC singing competition edited out large portions of her time on the show.
Page was eliminated after a Knockout performance during the Monday, April 7, episode of “The Voice,” but viewers didn’t get to hear her sing. Instead, Page was simply shown hugging Alanna Lynise after their coach, Kelsea Ballerini, declared Alanna the winner of the Knockout.
“My [Knockout] on The Voice ‘aired’ tonight and I was montaged … again,” Page wrote via Instagram on Monday evening. “This is the 2nd time this has happened & it’s hard not to feel invisible.”
Earlier in the competition, Page’s Battle Round performance with Robert Hunter was edited down to be part of a montage. She spoke out against the choice via social media last month.
“Heartbroken to have this performance montaged on The Voice — it’s hard to understand why, especially when so much heart and hard work went into it,” Page wrote alongside photos of her and Robert, who was eliminated after the performance.
In her latest Instagram post, Page pointed out that she’s “not alone” in her experience with the show, saying that some of “the most gifted artists” from season 27 “were also edited out.”

“We all came here [with] something real to give & it deserved more care, more space, more respect,” she wrote. “It’s clear the show is centered around other things. But for us it was always about music, connection & the courage it takes to show up. I’m not angry — but I am disappointed. These artists deserved to be seen & heard.
Page then encouraged her followers to “follow” and “support” artists who got limited screen time on “The Voice.”
“What a way to stick it to the man & blow these artist[s] up,” she wrote.
While Page is disappointed with “The Voice” editors, she gave a kind shout-out to her coach in the Instagram post.
“Kelsea Ballerini, I hope we can sit down for wine soon & catch up. I’m thankful you turned [your chair] for me & I’m thankful for the journey that it brought,” she wrote.
Ballerini responded in the comments section.
“I see you sister. i’m so sorry that happened. I’m gutted for you too. I remember how incredible that performance was in the room and it deserves to be shown,” she wrote. “Yes to wine and couch time when we’re both home in nashville. Always on your team.”
Page replied, “I’ll get the Cabernet ready. Thank you for everything … thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
Two other season 27 contestants who had their “Voice” Battles montaged also commented on Page’s post.
“So very proud of you Page. MONTAGES DONT DEFINE US,” wrote Tori Templet, who lost her Battle to Grace-Miller Moody.
“#Releasethemontages. You’re incredible my friend,” wrote Carlos Santiago, who emerged victorious after his montaged Battle with Aaron Rizzo.
