Kelly Clarkson‘s fans are absolutely in awe of her “huge” first Kellyoke performance of Pride Month, where the talk show host sang a cover of “I Lied” by Lord Huron and Allison Ponthier.

Her version of the song was uploaded to Instagram on Monday, June 2, shocking fans and the song’s original performers alike with not only her “insane” vocals, but the meaningful connection found between the song choice and the timing.

More than anything, fans found this specific cover to be the ultimate proof of Clarkson’s status as the American Idol, praising her ability to “sing anything.”

“OH MY GOD?” Ponthier responded in shock. “Kelly’s was the first CD I ever bought, can’t believe it. thank you for singing our song 🤍.”

Fans of the up and coming musician were just as shook, with one praising, “THIS IS HUGE!!!!”
