Madeline McCann’s parents have been hit with a distressing revelation as an American woman has claimed she has proof about their daughter.

Eugenea Collins, 22, has claimed on social media that she is Madeleine McCann, saying she has “DNA proof”.

Collins, who lives in Arkansas and is blonde and blue eyed like the vanished child, said it was claims made by Polish woman Julia Wandelt that led her to the realisation.

Wandelt was arrested last week for stalking the McCann family after claiming that she was their disappeared daughter.

Speaking to The Daily Mail, Collins said: “If it wasn’t for me seeing her on the Dr. Phil show I would’ve never known. In a way her stupidity actually helped me find my family.

“I saw the age progressions and it was like I was looking in a mirror. I just know I saw pictures of myself online and it says I’m missing.”

Collins says she was born on October 23, 2002, making her around the same age as Madeleine.

The evidence she has pointed to is a DNA test showing she is 68 per cent English and Northwestern European.

The 22-year-old has attempted to contact the local police department as well as the Met Police, however has been unsuccessful.

“I am unable to get any kind of identification,” Collins said, “I couldn’t even get any help from the people at the red cross when my house was burned because I have no identification.”

She claimed she has never seen her original birth certificate, adding: “The only thing I saw had someone else’s name written on it and they marked that out and wrote mine above it.”

Collins has also said pedophile Christian Brueckner, a suspect in Madeleine’s disappearance, looks like her father, claiming she instantly recognised him when seeing photos.

She said: “I saw pictures of the suspect and he looks like my biological father or who I’ve been told is my biological father my whole life.”

“I never had any relationship with this man whatsoever and I was always told he was a little off in the head.”

This comes after Wandelt, who has claimed publicly since 2023 that she is Madeline McCann, was recently detained by police at Bristol Airport on suspicion of stalking and harassing Kate and Gerry McCann.

The arrest occurred only days after Wandelt claimed new DNA test results showed a “perfect match” to samples from the hotel where Madeleine disappeared.

She alleged that analysis of “hair and saliva” from the crime scene in Praia da Luz showed a 69.23 per cent match with her DNA.

According to her Instagram posts, the McCanns have refused to participate in DNA testing.
