The American Idol alum is regularly celebrated on social media, with fans delightfully ribbing other musicians when Clarkson covers their music, as her knock-out performances on her eponymous talk show often bring out unexpected interpretations of the songs.

But after her latest performance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, fans are teasing the talk show host for outdoing herself. On March 31, the show’s Instagram page posted a video of Clarkson singing “Heartbeat Song” from her 2015 album, Piece by Piece.
Fans rushed to the comments to praise her performance of “one of the legendary Kelly classics,” calling it “an all-time Kelly Clarkson favorite!”
“Yes Kelly! The classics are the best,” said a fan as another spoke directly to Clarkson and commented that it was “good to hear one of yours.”
“I’m sorry…did she just…out sing herself?! My god Kelly!” wrote one fan as others agreed, commenting, “When the live version sounds BETTER than the recorded track…well, you know you’ve got an phenomenal star!” A third fan was on the same page, writing, “it even sounds better than the album version, which I already love!”
“Kelly is singing better than she ever has,” said another fan in agreement, as more chimed in to say “she makes every single song better” and declaring that they “think Kelly’s in her seasoned vocal prime.”
