Last year, Olivia Munn and John Mulaney got married after three years of dating.

John confirmed that they’d tied the knot during an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, where he showed off his wedding band and gushed about how incredible Olivia’s family is.

The intimate wedding came three years after they welcomed their first child, a boy named Malcolm, in 2021. Last September, they announced that they’d welcomed a second child via surrogate: a little girl named Méi.
During a recent appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Olivia reflected on her and John’s wedding, which was officiated by her The Newsroom costar Sam Waterston.

“It was just Sam and his wife, and our son Malcolm — and that was it,” she recalled. “Our daughter was born via surrogate because I couldn’t carry her, and I was really sad; I was telling John, ‘Oh man, I wish that she was here.’ Because in the photos when she looks back on the day mommy and daddy got married, Malcolm will be there, but she won’t be there.”

Olivia then revealed that John surprised her with a super sweet gift in order to honor their daughter. “He found this vintage locket and he put her sonogram picture inside, so that we had it on. He surprised me with that,” she shared.

The audience loudly cooed while Kelly stared at Olivia in awe. She then pointed at her eyes, signaling that she was tearing up, and said, “OK, that, yeah. Just gimme a minute.”
