Jason DeFord, also known as Jelly Roll, is close to having a full pardon from his criminal past thanks to the backing of Davidson County Sheriff Daron Hall.

Hall said, about a year ago, he asked Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee to fully pardon Jelly Roll.

On Tuesday, that request was unanimously recommended by the Tennessee Board of Parole.

The decision to pardon Jelly Roll is now in Lee’s hands.
