This star is officially coming back to the red chair in fall 2025.
We may still be in the middle of The Voice season 27, but it looks like we have news about who’s returning as a coach for next season!
Fans may remember legendary hip hop star Snoop Dogg made his debut on The Voice as a coach for season 26. And while he decided to take a break for the current season, it doesn’t seem like he could stay away for long, based on this exciting news from Deadline.
In an announcement made by the outlet on April 23, folks learned Snoop will officially be back on TV as a coach for The Voice season 28 in the fall of 2025. And that’s not all. The outlet also revealed his Death Row Productions company signed a multi-year creative deal with NBCUniversal Entertainment and Studios, which will see him working with the media conglomerate across “film, television, sports entertainment, and streaming.”

Shortly after the announcement dropped, Snoop shared his thoughts on the big venture on Instagram. “Death Row Pictures. NBCUniversal. We up 👊🏿🙏🏿👏🏿,” he excitedly wrote. “Thank you family @nbc @nbcuniversal 🎥 🎞️ let’s get 2 work.”

Naturally, finding out Snoop would be one of the coaches for The Voice season 28 left many excited to see him back on TV.
“So proud of you 🔥🔥🔥,” one person wrote in the comments. “@snoopdogg Always setting the bar high! 🚀,” another exclaimed. “WOW Super excited 🔥 Uncle Snoop returns to The Voice 🔥👏 You brought so much wisdom and fun last season 😍,” a different follower added.
Well, we’re certainly excited to see what he does next! And fans are already aware of Snoop’s great relationship with NBC, which really took off when he was a commentator for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games Highlights in July 2021. He later became an Olympics correspondent for NBC in July 2024, when he went to Paris to support Team USA and report on the various sports the athletes competed in.
We’ll just have to wait and see who else is joining Snoop in the red chairs for The Voice season 28 …
