Jelly Roll is one of the biggest country music acts in the world right now which undoubtedly makes him one of the biggest draws in Nashville, which is the country music capital of the world. But in a rather shocking turn of events, it sounds like he is taking a bit of a hiatus from performing in Nashville.

During his concert in Nashville on Friday, Jelly Roll shared a shocking announcement to the crowd as he revealed that he will not be performing another show in Nashville until 2027 – at least a year and a half.

The reason, he explained, is because he wants to be the first act to perform in the upcoming Nissan Stadium – the future home of the Tennesee Titans – that will be complete in 2027.

“This will be my last Nashville show until 2027, y’all,” Jelly Roll told the crowd on Friday night. “Hear me out though, this is why. Because I need y’all’s help. I want to be the first act to play Nissan Stadium when it opens in the spring of 2027.”

Jelly Roll acknowledged that he has had more success in Nashville than he ever dreamed.

“We have no doubt that he will accomplish that!” one fan wrote in the comments of a video on TikTok.

“If he doesn’t play the grand opening of the Nissan, it’s a crime. Dude is the city,” someone else wrote.

“Those tickets would sell out right now if they went on sale,” another fan added.

“Nobody is more deserving of the Nissan Stadium first act than Jelly Roll,” another fan wrote.

“Well looks like I’ll be going to Nashville in 2027!” someone else wrote.

“This would be the best thing they could do for that stadium, with all the controversy around how’s it’s paid for, what it can be used for, etc … a 100% Nashville native, who has given back to his community is exactly who it should go to,” another fan added.

We’ll have to see whether or not Jelly Roll will be given this honor, but it’s pretty clear it’s what he wants.
