Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine has reignited multiple long-standing feuds after making new claims about Lul Tim during a recent interview, revisiting tensions tied to the tragic death of Chicago rapper King Von and adding fresh fuel to broader disputes across the Atlanta and drill rap scenes.

During a sit-down with DJ Vlad, 6ix9ine alleged that Lul Tim—best known publicly for his involvement in the 2020 altercation that left King Von dead—had “scammed” him out of $10,000. According to 6ix9ine, the alleged incident occurred during preparations for what he described as a planned diss track aimed at King Von titled “GINÉ,” which he released in 2022.

The New York rapper claimed that his team arranged for Lul Tim to join him in Savannah, Georgia, where a verse was reportedly recorded but never released due to what he called “clearance issues.” He further alleged that Lul Tim did not sign necessary paperwork, blocking the backend portion of the payment the track would have required.

These statements are the latest in a long string of inflammatory remarks by 6ix9ine, whose public persona has remained rooted in controversy and confrontation.

Lul Tim’s Earlier Version of Events

Interestingly, Lul Tim himself told a similar story several years earlier, though his account framed the situation differently.

In his version, Tim claimed he made significantly more than the amount 6ix9ine now alleges—approximately $60,000, by his estimate. He suggested that after meeting up with 6ix9ine through mutual contacts at a studio session, he left after receiving payment and had no intention of completing the collaboration.

According to Tim’s earlier comments, the session was a transactional opportunity rather than an artistic one, and he asserted that 6ix9ine was the one attempting to use him for clout because of the public attention surrounding King Von’s death.

Both versions of the story contradict one another, and neither rapper has provided independent verification of their claims. No official paperwork, contracts, or records have been released by either side.

6ix9ine’s Motivation: Rekindling a Feud

Tekashi 6ix9ine has a history of resurfacing older conflicts, particularly those surrounding King Von, who was fatally shot outside an Atlanta nightclub in November 2020. Von and 6ix9ine had a tense relationship prior to Von’s death, fueled by insults and online taunts exchanged between camps and exacerbated by 6ix9ine’s trolling behavior.

Since Von’s passing, 6ix9ine has repeatedly referenced him in interviews, social media posts, and music releases, often drawing strong backlash from fans and other artists who view such comments as disrespectful.

In the VladTV interview, 6ix9ine framed his interest in collaborating with Lul Tim as an effort to capitalize on what he described as “accusations” and “public narratives” surrounding the night of the shooting. He claimed the collaboration was meant to be a “diss track,” a decision he openly acknowledges was tied to long-standing hostility between him and Von.

New Tensions With Lil Durk and Atlanta Rappers

Beyond the Lul Tim claims, 6ix9ine has also recently resurfaced his feud with Lil Durk, one of King Von’s closest friends and frequent collaborators.

The rapper posted screenshots of alleged direct messages between himself and Durk, in which the two appear to exchange insults and provocative remarks. 6ix9ine has used these alleged messages to claim that Durk is “not what he seems,” though Durk has not confirmed the authenticity of the exchanges.

6ix9ine has additionally turned his attention to Atlanta’s rap scene more broadly, invoking names like Young Thug, YFN Lucci, and Gunna in relation to ongoing legal disputes and past accusations of “snitching.” These remarks have been criticized as attempts to insert himself into high-profile cases and conflicts he is not directly connected to.

While none of the targeted artists have issued public responses in recent days, fans and commentators have noted the pattern: 6ix9ine frequently provokes artists with ongoing legal problems or longstanding beefs, seemingly to generate attention and online engagement.

A Cycle of Disrespect or Strategic Promotion?

Observers of 6ix9ine’s career argue that controversy has long been part of his promotional strategy. His pattern of reigniting feuds, making inflammatory claims, and targeting artists with serious legal challenges has kept him in headlines even as his music releases have slowed.

“Disrespect,” as one industry analyst phrased it, “is the engine of his brand.”

Whether the claims about Lul Tim are factual, exaggerated, or purposely distorted for publicity remains unclear. What is clear is that 6ix9ine’s comments have reactivated a series of sensitive, emotionally charged conflicts tied to some of hip-hop’s most tragic and consequential moments.

What Happens Next?

With no responses yet from Lul Tim, Lil Durk, or other artists mentioned, the situation remains fluid. It is unclear whether more information will emerge, whether the involved parties will address the claims publicly, or whether this is simply another brief flare-up in 6ix9ine’s ongoing pattern of viral conflict.

For now, the rapper has once again succeeded in pushing himself into the spotlight—though whether this brings clarity or simply deeper division within the hip-hop community remains to be seen.
