A 13-year-old Alabama boy beat up his drunk, abusive dad and knocked him out cold — to stop him from strangling his mom, according to police and reports.
The gutsy kid fought back after he allegedly saw Daniel Hernandez-Lopez choking his mother during a heated argument at their home in Foley Tuesday, according to kolotv.com.

Hernandez-Lopez, who is not a US Citizen, is accused of lunging at the boy and trying to hit him with a bicycle after the kid confronted him outside their home for hurting his mom, police told the outlet.
The 13-year-old then punched his highly intoxicated dad repeatedly in the face — leaving him with two black eyes and a badly swollen lip, and possibly knocking him unconscious, cops said.
Hernandez-Lopez, who police say may have also been on narcotics, was charged with domestic violence and booked into the Baldwin County jail.
His police mugshot showed his face bloodied and bruised with two black eyes, a gash across his forehead and his mouth visibly swollen.
