Prince George is bracing for a “big summer” as he enters his teenage years with a major life change ahead. The second in line to the British throne, who is celebrating his 13th birthday today, is heading to a new school in September, following in his father’s footsteps by attending the prestigious Eton College, close to his Windsor home.
Reports claimed this new “huge transition” for George is “pivotal” to his preparation as future King. A family friend told The Sun: “He may be as tall as his mum, but George is quite a self-conscious and awkward teen. He’s not an extrovert or a show-off. In fact, he’s quite a sensitive soul who’s very into conservation, like his father and grandfather, and music.

Prince George celebrates 13th birthday today and here’s his 13 best moments
“Behind closed doors, he’s like any other teen, but in public, he takes it all very seriously.”
According to the outlet, George is set to celebrate becoming a teenager and leaving Lambrook School with a special birthday party, with the Prince and Princess of Wales known to be “very hands-on” when it comes to organising them.
George’s previous birthday parties have reportedly been football-themed, as he shares his dad’s passion for the sport.
