The original Jurassic Park cast, including Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, and Sam Neill, reunite for a 2026 Super Bowl commercial for Comcast Xfinity!
The new ad posits a world where the original idea for the dinosaur theme park actually worked, all because they had an actual working Wi-Fi connection and were able to avoid anything horrible happening!
The main cast have all been digitally de-aged to look similar to their original appearances in the 1993 classic, and there are several fun nods to the movie, such as Ian Malcolm (Goldblum) looking at a big pile of food and going, “That is one big pile of…shrimp.”
The ad also includes John Williams‘ original score and visual effects from the same VFX house who did the movie.
“Bringing Jurassic Park back to life for this campaign has been an extraordinary collaboration across Comcast NBCUniversal,” said David O’Connor, chief brand officer, Universal Entertainment, via The Hollywood Reporter.
“For more than three decades, the franchise has captured the imagination of audiences around the world, and this partnership with Xfinity allows fans to experience that world in a completely fresh way. By combining the timeless characters and iconic moments of the original film with modern technology, we’re celebrating the legacy of Jurassic Park while introducing it to a new generation. It’s a testament to the enduring power of the franchise and the kind of creative, cross-company storytelling that only NBCUniversal can deliver.”
