Two dead bodies have been discovered at a home in Rockhampton in central Queensland.

Police were called to carry out a welfare check at the home on Lion Creek Rd, Wandal shortly before 8pm on Tuesday.

A 76-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man were found dead at the property.

A crime scene has been established. Police investigations are ongoing.
