Carrie Underwood has some adorable new company at her Tennessee farm. The country music star and American Idol judge announced the arrival of the first lamb born on her property earlier this week, sharing a sweet photo of the ewe and her newborn with fans on Instagram Stories.
“Surprise! We had our first little lamb born at the farm yesterday!” Underwood wrote, calling the new addition “a cutie.” The photo showed the lamb already up on all fours, sticking close to its mother for comfort and safety.

A Full House on the Farm Underwood may be best known for her chart-topping hits and stunning stage presence, but life at home is a different kind of busy. In addition to her two sons—Isaiah, 10, and Jacob, 6—she and her husband Mike Fisher care for a growing assortment of farm animals.
From raising baby chicks to nursing sick hens back to health, the “Cry Pretty” singer fully embraces her role as a hands-on animal mom when she’s not performing or judging hopeful contestants on Idol. A Packed Schedule and Memorable Moments Despite her packed schedule, Underwood always finds time to celebrate the simple joys of country life. The new lamb’s arrival coincided with a recent date night with Fisher at the Grand Ole Opry’s 100th birthday party.
Underwood even had a chance to fan out over country legend Alan Jackson’s rare live performance, snagging a guitar pick and enthusiastically showing it off to the cameras. “That’s Alan Jackson!” she beamed, embodying her signature mix of down-to-earth charm and star power. Underwood also honored Randy Travis during the Opry celebration, performing two of his classic songs and further cementing her place as one of country music’s most revered modern talents.
Looking Ahead With American Idol heading into Hollywood Week, Underwood’s schedule is set to get even busier. The show will air twice weekly on Sundays and Mondays, giving fans even more chances to see the superstar in action. But no matter how packed her calendar gets, Underwood’s farm life—now featuring an adorable lamb—remains a heartwarming reminder of the balance she’s found between her life in the spotlight and the quiet joys of home.
