“The writers, you know, they kind of write as we go, and they see how the stories open up,” Park said of the Netflix hit’s storylines.

Ashley Park is ready to return to Paris — or Rome!
The 33-year-old actress, who plays the character of Mindy on Emily in Paris, teased the upcoming fifth season of the show while speaking to PEOPLE about her partnership with Baileys, which is launching its first non-dairy liqueur made with oat milk.
“Let me tell you, I am highly anticipating [Emily in Paris],” Park told PEOPLE. “… It’s gonna be summertime and it’s gonna be in Europe, but I don’t even know what country at this point.”
The popular Netflix series hit fans with a bit of a twist in season 4 by introducing its main character Emily (played by Lily Collins) to Rome, taking her away from Paris for the first time. Park’s character got to join Collins in Rome — but as for what’s next, the Joy Ride actress said it’s all up in the air.
“I wish I knew what was gonna be happening next, but the writers, you know, they kind of write as we go, and they see how the stories open up,” she explained.
When it comes to filming, things are already looking up for the Broadway star who welcomes the change in seasons. She shared that they will be soaking in the sunny summer weather — a stark contrast from the cold weather of the previous season.

“For me, it was hard to film in the winter last time,” she explained.
However, when it comes to filming locations, Park is much more open, saying, “I love Europe. I love Italy and France, so I’m so excited. You know, I just did that campaign with Max Mara, like I love anything Italy as well.”
As for what’s going to happen next with her character Mindy and her love triangle with Kevin Dias’ character Benoît and Paul Forman’s Nicholas, Park is staying mum.

“We’ll see,” she teased, jokingly adding that she would “need to rewatch the last season” again before filming to make sure she knew “where we left off.”
Netflix and Collins announced in September 2024 that Emily in Paris was renewed for a fifth season alongside an Instagram video of Collins sipping an espresso as she said, “There’s no place like Rome.”
Park told PEOPLE ahead of the announcement that if the show got renewed, she hoped her character, Mindy, would find happiness and end up “with the person who makes her feel comfortable.”

“I think my biggest question for Emily right now is, ‘Where is she going to end up?’ Before it was America or France? Now it’s France or Italy. And so, I’m happy if at least her and Mindy stay friends,” she added at the time.
Collins also joked that she wanted to see her character, Emily, put “her phone down more.” She added that she hoped Emily “wears more flats. She gets to explore more of Italy. And maybe we meet her family.”
All four seasons of Emily in Paris are now streaming on Netflix.
