Former Football Pro Senтenced to 30 Years After Sh0cking Girlfriend M:urd:er

Former NFL player Kevin Ware Jr. has been sentenced to 30 years in prison after he murdered his girlfriend in 2021.

Ware, 41, was given the three-decade sentence after reaching a plea deal with the prosecution.

Ware only played for two years in the NFL, one with the then-Washington Redskins in 2003, and another with the San Francisco 49ers in 2004.

He was a member of the Oakland Raiders preseason squad in 2005 but never officially played a game for the franchise.

Ware was indicted in July 2021 for murder and tampering with evidence, specifically a corpse, in the death of his girlfriend 29-year-old Taylor Pomaski.

Pomanski was last seen in April 2021 with local authorities saying she disappeared under mysterious circumstances.

Days before Pomanski’s disappearance,  Ware was arrested on drug and weapons charges in Harris County, Texas.

He was released on bond from that charge, then arrested again that June for failing to appear in court and check in with his probation officer.

Court documents revealed Ware killed Pomanski by ‘cut her with a knife, hit her with a blunt object, strangled her and then burned her corpse,’ per NBC 2 in Houston.

Ware was undrafted in 2003 after a career at Washington. He finished his NFL career with four receptions.
