Snoop Dogg has proposed a major overhaul to the 2028 Olympics, which will be held in his hometown of Los Angeles.
Tha Doggfather shared his suggestions for the next Olympic Games in a red carpet interview at the recent movie premiere of 1992, which he executive produced.
“One thing I wanna do is have the hood Olympics,” said Snoop, who was a ubiquitous presence at this summer’s Olympics in Paris and even carried the torch during the opening ceremony.
“There’s a lot of homies from the hood that could run a 10.2, that could high jump, throw the javelin, backflip, swim good, jump over gates and hurdle, you know what I’m saying?”
He added: “I just wanna make it available for the athletes from the hood that didn’t make it that probably have certain ramifications but they still were athletic and they still were good.”

Snoop Dogg has already helped welcome the Olympics to Los Angeles, performing alongside Dr. Dre at the closing ceremony for the 2024 Games.
The West Coast rap legends delivered a rendition of “The Next Episode” during a pre-taped performance in Long Beach, marking the end of one Olympics and building anticipation for the next one.
Snoop also performed “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” while other performers included Billie Eilish, Red Hot Chili Peppers and H.E.R.
Last month, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre brought a bit of Long Beach to Paris in the 2024 Olympics closing ceremony.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight shortly after the performance, Dre revealed that he wants to try out for the 2028 Olympics in an unlikely sport: archery.
“I’m dead-ass serious,” he said. “I actually started playing around with archery in junior high. I stopped for a while, and my son bought me a setup — I don’t know if was for my birthday or Father’s Day or something like that. So I have it set up in my backyard.
“I heard that qualifying for the Olympics is 77 feet, and I practice at 90. Wouldn’t that be interesting to go, especially with it being here in L.A., and win the gold medal? I feel like I can do anything.”
