Kendrick Lamar and Drake have been involved in a rap feud since the early 2010s. However, their habit of dissing each other with their music witnessed the latest escalation in March 2024, when a series of diss tracks from both sides hit social media. The duo began throwing accusations of domestic abuse, having a secret child, and even s*x trafficking, respectively.

However, while Kendrick Lamar and Drake’s fight was limited to each other all this while, suddenly things took a major turn as Eminem entered the squabble with his latest track Lucifer. Setting the internet abuzz with bold statements sparking conversations across hip-hop communities, the Rap-God seemingly sided with Lamar, making the God’s Plan singer’s fans go raging.
Eminem Infuriated Drake’s Fans by Siding with Kendrick Lamar
Bringing a surprising twist in the world of hip-hop, Eminem dropped his twelfth studio album The Death of Slim Shady, consisting of iconic raps, that are enough to set the internet on fire. But particularly two songs caught fans’ attention, as the Rap-God was seen referring to Kendrick Lamar in both of them.
According to reports from All Hip-Hop, social media initially began blowing up with reactions to Eminem’s opening song in his album, Renaissance. Therein, the rapper played with themes of duality, making fans wonder if his shoutout for Kendrick Lamar is a diss track in disguise. But the doubt was quickly clarified following the release of Lucifer, wherein the Rap-God implied Lamar as one of the “greats”.

As per the lyrics of Lucifer shared on X via @HipHopAllDayy, Eminem not only praised Kendrick Lamar but also implied that challenging Lamar might turn into a formidable endeavor. Although the duality of the lyrics got fans wondering about the OG meaning behind them, most people appear sure that it was indeed an endorsement for Lamar from the Rap-God.
However, while these controversial lyrics from Eminem sent netizens into a frenzy, Drake fans, in particular, appeared to be upset by this comparison. Considering that the Canadian rapper has long been a dominant force in the music industry, fans believe that Slim Shady’s song seemingly elevated Kendrick Lamar’s status to a level that some might see as a direct challenge to the One Dance singer’s position.
Eminem Reignited Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s Ongoing Rap Feud
The praise from Eminem comes at a time when Kendrick Lamar’s recent work alongside his rap feud with Drake has been receiving widespread acclaim. Therefore, although Lamar’s lyrical prowess and thought-provoking content have turned him into one of the most influential voices in hip-hop, Rap-God’s endorsement further cemented his reputation.
However, Eminem’s praise for Kendrick Lamar comes with a hint of competition, suggesting that the latter’s lyrical prowess is more intimidating than probably Drake‘s. This line thus escalates the ongoing feud between Lamar and the Canadian rapper, that has been going on for a while, with both of them taking turns dissing the other.

As per GQ, Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s feud since 2010 escalated in March 2024 after Lamar released Like That, with a verse dissing the Canadian rapper. This led to a series of diss tracks from both sides, including Drake’s Push Ups and Taylor Made Freestyle, followed by Lamar’s Euphoria and 6:16 in LA. Each diss track sparked a lot of attention and debate in the music industry, as the two rappers took personal digs at each other.
As of now, the feud is ongoing, with both rappers continuing to release diss tracks and make public jabs at each other. Amid such tumultuous times between the duo, Eminem seemingly surged the tension by stirring up conversation with his song Lucifer.
