Virgin River star took on totally different role in another series

Virgin River fans have just discovered one of the show’s most prominent cast members has made a guest appearance in another equally popular TV series.

The hit Netflix series follows the small-town romance of Mel Monroe (played by Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) while they deal with their own issues and plenty of drama from their neighbors.

She has since become pregnant and faces an impossible choice after discovering Denny has been diagnosed with Huntington’s disease, giving their baby a 50/50 chance they’ll develop the condition as well.

Their story will play out in the upcoming seventh season, but, until then, actor Bradbury has been keeping busy with a guest appearance on the CBS series Fire Country.

Lizzie and Denny face an impossible choice about their baby

This drama, also set in Northern California, follows former inmate Bode Leone (Max Thieriot), who seeks redemption by signing up as a volunteer firefighter to battle forest fires and other disasters.

Bradbury popped up in a recent episode, One Last Time, that aired back in March, as Rocco, a surfer involved in a horrific accident.

A fan joked on Reddit: “Denny finally did something interesting… kinda.

“But it took a VR + Fire Country actor crossover to do it. He (Kai) popped up as ‘surfer impaled on a stick’ in Fire Country S03E15.

“So basically he spent an episode trying not to move and looking pained – is he typecast?”

Another user pointed out another recent appearance from a Virgin River alum down in the comments.

“Wait until you watch this past week’s fire country… the guy who is the pot grower on VR is the pot grower’s assistant on fire country.

“It’s like I’m watching a version of the same show just with less nature scenes.”

This viewer was referring to David Cubitt, who’s best known to Virgin River fans as drug dealer Calvin and turned up as Ozzie in the latest episode of Fire Country.
