Virgin River season 6 official trailer
WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Virgin River.
Martin Henderson, star of the popular Netflix drama Virgin River, has confessed what he “hates” about the show as filming commences for season seven.
Virgin River, one of Netflix’s most-watched shows, chronicles the lives of Jack Sheridan (portrayed by Martin Henderson), Mel Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge) and their neighbours in a fictional remote town in North Carolina.
The sixth season, which premiered on the streaming platform in December 2024, concluded with the stunning wedding of Jack and Mel, leaving fans eager for more.
Fortunately, even before the debut of the sixth series, Virgin River was already renewed for a seventh season, promising a bright future for the romantic drama.
Martin Henderson took to Instagram to announce that filming for season seven had officially begun, but also disclosed what he “hates” about the show.
While in his trailer on the Virgin River set, Henderson began discussing a gift box that Netflix had given him.

He started off saying: “Hi guys, it’s a very auspicious moment.
“It is day one of season seven of Virgin River and I am here in my trailer, I’m about to go to work and I saw this lovely little gift from my friends at Netflix.
“A little box of treats and I thought I’d share it with you guys just to let you know how much they care. Because look, rechargeable handwarmers.”
The 50-year-old star took a moment from sifting through his presents to share: “I can’t tell you – I hate the cold.
“If anybody knows anything about me, I hate the cold. And it gets a little chilly in Vancouver at this time of year.
“But these are going to keep my little mittens warm while I’m standing around on set!”
Henderson then showed off other goodies from the Netflix gift box, including lip balm, facial moisturiser, and what he called a “mini suitcase”.

Putting aside the gifts, he expressed his heartfelt thanks to his fans: “I just wanted to share that, because I’m actually really excited.
“I want to make this the best season yet for you guys, because I wouldn’t be here, none of us would be here, if it wasn’t for you people out there that love the show and support the show.
“I am so grateful! So from the bottom of my heart, thank you, thank you, thank you.
“I wish you all the best, wherever you are in the world. Sending you lots of love and I hope we’re going to make a ripper of a show for you this season. Stay tuned!”
While there’s no official word yet on when Virgin River season seven will premiere, predictions based on past seasons suggest it could be between December 2025 and early 2026.
