The Bridgerton fandom is buzzing with excitement after a recent interaction between Jonathan Bailey and fans hinted at a major development for Kate and Anthony in Season 4. Could the beloved couple be welcoming twins?
During a event, Bailey—who plays Viscount Anthony Bridgerton—had a playful yet revealing exchange with a fan. When asked about the couple’s baby, the fan pressed, “You know what baby! Kanthony’s baby.” Bailey’s response with a teasing, “Which one? WHICH ONE?”
This simple yet suggestive remark has ignited speculation across social media, with fans eagerly analyzing every detail. Those familiar with Julia Quinn’s Bridgerton book series, which serves as the inspiration for the show, will recall that Anthony and Kate do, in fact, have multiple children. However, the Netflix adaptation has been known to take creative liberties, meaning twins could be an exciting new twist.
Adding fuel to the fire, recent reports suggest that Season 4 will delve deeper into Anthony and Kate’s marriage, showcasing their life beyond the viscount’s initial struggles with love and duty. If the twin theory proves true, it could mark a significant and heartwarming chapter for the fan-favorite couple, solidifying their legacy within the Bridgerton family.
While no official confirmation has been made, Bailey’s teasing remark has left Bridgerton fans eagerly anticipating more news. Whether or not the viscount and viscountess will have twins remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: Season 4 is shaping up to be an unforgettable ride.
Bridgerton Season 4 to Explore Anthony & Kate
For the uninitiated, Anthony and Kate are one of the most beloved couples in Bridgerton. Their romance headlined one of the show’s most cherished seasons. Now, according to Swoon, showrunner Jess Brownell has revealed that Season 4 will delve deeper into Anthony and Kate’s relationship as they navigate parenthood. Additionally, the new season will explore Penelope’s dynamic with Queen Charlotte now that the Queen is aware of her secret identity.
Jess shared, “We’ve got Anthony returning—Johnny Bailey, which we’re very excited about. I can reveal here for the first time today that we also have Simone Ashley returning. So, Kanthony will be together again, and we will get to see more of their marital bliss and their baby as well, which will be a lot of fun. [Penelope] has a new relationship with Queen Charlotte now that she knows who Whistledown is, and her relationship with Lady Danbury is also central to the story.”
She also teased Eloise’s predicament, saying, “Francesca is now married off, which leaves Eloise in a position where she’s back in her mother’s clutches again… She’s absolutely dreading it, whereas you have Hyacinth who is desperate to pre-debut early, and the two of them get paired together this season for comedic results.”
