It was a reunion nearly 20 years in the making, with Carrie Underwood and Bo Bice sharing the American Idol stage once again.
Underwood, 42, and Bice, 49, were the last two singers standing in American Idol Season 4 back in early 2005, though Underwood famously was victorious.
Part of the finale nearly two decades earlier featured host Ryan Seacrest revealing that they both won 2005 Ford Mustang convertibles, which they had a bit of fun with on Sunday night’s episode.
After playing that flashback clip, Carrie was seen driving around her fellow judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan, along with Seacrest, in that very same car.
‘So, guys, we are in the exact car that I won 20 years ago,’ Underwood said, as the other judges praised the condition of the car.
Bryan noticed it has a CD player, though Underwood said she’s never used it, but when they played the disc inside, it played the Bo Bice version of Inside Your Heaven.

Underwood mentioned, ‘we both released Inside Your Heaven as a single. Why is Bo’s version in my car?’
They cut to Helena, Alabama – three hours straight south of Nashville – where Bo was driving what seemed to be his car, with Carrie’s version of Inside Your Heaven.
The long-haired singer – clad in a grey t-shirt, black pants and black shoes – said, ‘Sing it girl,’ as they showed the license plate reading, ‘S4Winner,’ indicating he had swapped cars at some point.
‘I got you Carrie, yeah!’ he said while driving away, as the brief bit came to an end.
While Bice wasn’t featured at the auditions for Sunday’s episode of Idol, Bice and Underwood posed for a photo, wearing the same clothes from the video.
‘Hey @bobiceofficial #CUonIdol tonight,’ Underwood said, sharing a snap of them on the new Idol set, plus one of them from the Season 4 finale 20 years earlier.
Just weeks after the Idol finale, Underwood released her version of Inside Your Heaven, which would later be included on her studio album debut Some Hearts.
Her version of the single debuted on June 14, 2005, premiering atop the Billboard Hot 100 singles charts and topping the Canadian singles charts too.
