A man has tragically died after falling from a car park in Dudley.
Emergency services were alerted to the tragedy on Queensway in Halesowen just after 6am on Sunday, July 19.
The man, aged in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Several roads in Halesowen town centre were closed and bus services were diverted as officers carried out an investigation at the scene, Birmingham Live reports.
West Midlands Police said the man’s death was not being treated as suspicious.
Officers said their thoughts are with the man’s family “and everyone who knew him”.
A police spokesperson said: “We were called to Queensway, Halesowen, shortly after 6.10am this morning, July 19, to reports a man had fallen from a car park.
“A man in his 20s was sadly confirmed dead at the scene.
“Our thoughts are with the man’s family and everyone who knew him.
“His death is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
The incident came hours after the town centre was closed on Saturday following a brawl between a group of teenagers.
Police were called to High Street at around 12:30pm after reports of a large group of people fighting.
Two teenagers, aged 15 and 16, were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder, West Midlands Police said.
Drivers were warned to expect disruption and delays in the area, with bus services also impacted.
A dispersal order was put in place in Halesowen town centre, giving officers extra powers to remove anyone engaging in anti-social behaviour.
West Midlands Police said at the time: “We are in the early stages of our investigation, and a large police presence remains in the area while we work to establish exactly what’s happened.
“A dispersal order has been put in place in Halesowen town centre, which gives officers extra policing powers which will allow us to disperse anyone engaging in anti-social behaviour and causing a public nuisance.”
