SUITCASE DISCOVERY SPARKS MYSTERY: POLICE REVEAL LATEST AFTER FEMALE B0DY FOUND NEAR GOULBURN — ‘HAU-NTING’ SCENE NOW UNDER INVESTIGATION
A body, believed to be female, has been found inside a suitcase near Goulburn, on the NSW Southern Tablelands.
Police were called to Wolgon Road, near Oallen Ford Road, about 61 kilometres south of Goulburn about 12.50pm on Sunday after reports a body had been found.
Two men had stopped at the side of the road where they discovered the body and alerted authorities.
The body is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be that of a woman. It is unclear how long the body had been there.
Officers have established a crime scene, and have seized the suitcase for further forensic examination.
Police are working to match the remains with any outstanding missing persons on record.
Goulburn is 194 km south-west of Sydney via the Hume Freeway.
