A man has died after the car he was a passenger in was hit by a tree which fell near an Australian ski resort.
A woman was driving the car along Mount Buller Road in Mount Buller, in north-east Victoria, when the tree hit it at 9.15am on Monday.

He died at the scene, and the woman was taken to hospital with injuries which are said not to be life-threatening.
Police are investigating. Mount Buller Road was closed in both directions following the incident.
The area had been buffeted by wild weather recently, receiving powerful winds and 1cm of snow over the weekend.
More is on the way, according to Mount Buller’s snow report.
Gusts of wind up to 40km/h are forecast, with one gust at 1.20am reaching 87km/h.
“After a gusty and wild Sunday the temp has dipped, bringing in the snow with flurries expected to stick around today,” it says.
The BoM says snow is forecast for the next couple of days for the area, and it will turn to rain later in the week.
