Detectives have called on the public for help identifying potential victims of a man accused of more than 300 child abuse offences.
Australian Federal Police (AFP) on Friday announced another unknown child had been identified on electronic devices seized during an investigation into former Sydney childcare worker Hamish Tait.

Police allege the 35-year-old’s offences occurred from 2009 to 2025 across 62 childcare centres Tait worked at, or attended, across Sydney.
The most recent appeal has been sparked after images of a young boy were found on an electronic device and believed to have been taken sometime between March 2020 – July 2025.
AFP said the boy was “wearing Bluey-branded underwear and appears to have a distinctive freckle or mole on their body”.
“Due to the sensitive nature of the images, they cannot be publicly released, but police hope the description may spark recognition,” the AFP said.
A previous appeal earlier in July featured images of a two-tone shirt, a puffer vest with a distinctive dinosaur, or dinosaur skeleton, pattern, and shorts with a blue pattern and a t-shirt with an animal pattern on the front and left shoulder.
Any distinctive features of the children wearing the clothes were removed.
Detectives are still searching for the child wearing the two-tone t-shirt —  likely taken on January 9, 2018, at a Putney childcare centre.
However, the AFP noted the other two boys were “already known” to detectives.
“We appreciate the information shared with the community may appear limited, however, any clue may assist with victim identification. Please consider the dates, locations and descriptions,” AFP Detective Acting Inspector Emmanuel Tsardoulias said.
“We thank the public for their cooperation, patience and support as we continue to make inquiries.”
Anyone with information has been urged to contact the multi-agency Local Contact Point, which will be open until July 26, or the AFP after it’s closed.
