Jalen Brunson stood out not only as a scorer but also as a key piece in the team’s structure. He helped drive the offense through playmaking and contributed on defense with constant pressure. Moreover, the Knicks star earned the Clutch Player of the 2024-25 season award.
Considering Brunson as the best player in the 2025 playoffs does not mean he has outperformed Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. The Thunder star maintained impressive consistency throughout the season. However, Jalen Williams has been more crucial to his team’s push to the conference finals. Nonetheless, Shai’s performance in the conference semifinals was also impressive. He averaged 29.7 points per game and showcased his raw talent on the biggest stage.
