Loved ones of a young Gold Coast mother have remembered her “beautiful heart” and “kind spirit” after she was allegedly shot dead inside her home.
Police received reports that shots had been fired at a home in Biggera Waters shortly before 8pm on Sunday.

Mallorie Roberts, 23, was found with gunshot injuries and died at the scene, leaving her baby boy to grow up without a mother.
Her partner, Ethan Midgley, 23, was arrested at the scene without incident after allegedly shooting her in the arm and chest with a homemade shotgun.
He was charged with domestic violence murder and unlawful possession of a weapon used to commit an indictable offence and scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
Roberts’ friend Haylee Downey told 9News her friend “brought so much joy into everyone’s life, she was just a beautiful young girl”.
“Our hearts are shattered following the tragic loss of our beautiful Mallorie, whose life was taken far too soon in a devastating act of [alleged] domestic violence,” she wrote in an online fundraiser set up to help with funeral expenses and ongoing support for Roberts’ family.
“She was deeply loved and will be remembered for her beautiful heart, kind spirit, and the love she had for those around her.

Neighbours said Roberts had been living in the Loter Street unit for the past two years or so but Midgley only moved in about a month ago.
Police confirmed the accused murderer was known to them but no domestic violence orders were in place.
“Police have been in attendance to that address before, however, all of the background in relation to the man and woman is something that forms part of our investigation,” Detective Acting Inspector Leia Urquhart said.

A neighbour who performed CPR on Roberts spoke to the media outside the residence.
“I heard a commotion, I ran downstairs. I asked, ‘Does somebody need help?’” she said.
“Somebody said, ‘Yes please, ring an ambulance’.

“As I was ringing the ambulance, I said, ‘I’m going inside, I’ll help her mate, don’t worry’.
“I didn’t know her well. But it’s very confronting.”
Another neighbour said he felt “sick to (his) stomach” after hearing about the incident.

Police said there were no other injuries and no further threat to the public.
The investigation is ongoing.
