CHAOS ON QUEENSLAND ROADS: CHILD AMONG THREE FIGHTING FOR LIFE AFTER HORROR SCHOOL HOLIDAY SMASH AS POLICE BEGIN MAJOR PROBE
A primary school-aged child is fighting for their life following a horrific crash that also left two adults in critical condition.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Gould Hill Rd and Mount Lindesay Highway at Gleneagle, southeast Queensland, about 2.16pm on Monday.
A Subaru Impreza sedan and a Nissan Qashqai wagon collided, injuring four people.
A young child, who travelled in the Nissan, was flown to Queensland Children’s Hospital in a life-threatening condition.
A woman in her fifties and an adult man were taken by road to the PA Hospital and Logan Hospital, respectively, in critical condition.
A girl, in her early teens, was taken by road to Queensland Children’s Hospital in a stable condition.
The cause of the crash remains unclear.
Officers from the Forensic Crash Unit attended the scene.

‘The Mount Lindesay Highway is currently closed in both directions at the intersection with Gould Hill Road and Outlook Boulevard,’ Queensland Police said in a statement.
‘The highway is expected to remain closed for some time and motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
‘Anyone with relevant information or dashcam footage are urged to contact police.’
