A call for help nearly cost a police officer his life two years ago after he was stabbed on the job.

Police rushed to help their brother in blue on Kilto Crescent in Doonside while they tried to arrest a western Sydney gangster. Musa Musa and members of the Queen Street Boys were captured on CCTV earlier in the night looking for a fight.

Musa Musa and members of the Queen Street Boys were captured on CCTV earlier in the night looking for a fight.

“You wanna f—ing bring guns, hey? QSB motherf—–, QSB. Where are ya?” members of the group said.

Their threat was met with bats — and the force of the law.

Musa made a run for it, but he was soon tackled by a 34-year-old plain-clothed cop, who was knifed during the struggle.

At one point the injured officer feared he might not make it and told his partner “I think I’m dying”.

The constable had surgery for two wounds to his chest but returned to work as soon as he had recovered.

The police stabber and one of his offsiders will be sentenced next week.
