Police have issued an urgent appeal for help after a 10-year-old boy disappeared almost two weeks ago, prompting serious concerns for his welfare.
Joziah Maharaj was last seen at Minto Railway Station, about 50km south-west of Sydney, at 4pm on August 14, according to NSW Police.
After he could not be located or contacted, officers were notified on August 22 and began inquiries into his whereabouts.
‘Police and family hold serious concerns for Joziah’s welfare due to his age, and he lives with a health condition,’ police said.
Inquiries indicate he may be in the Dundas Valley area and police have issued a text message alert to residents in the area and surrounding suburbs.
Joziah is described as being of Māori or Pacific Islander appearance, of a slim build, with black hair that is short at the front and long at the back.
Anyone with information about Joziah’s whereabouts is urged to contact Campbelltown Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
