It’s been a rough start to 2025 for Prince Harry and it just got rougher.
The Time magazine Time 100 Philanthropy list was just announced and not only were Harry and Meghan Markle not mentioned for Archewell, the coveted honorarium went to Harry and Meghan’s nemesis, Prince William and his wife, Princess Catherine (Kate).
”This has got to sting,” my insider said. “It chafes.”
“Harry has always said he wants to devote his life to charity — and he has tried — but once again, he is overlooked for William.”
Kate Middleton, Prince William honored by Time Magazine
Time’s owner Marc Benioff and his wife Lynne have supported the Royal Foundation in the past — there is no record of them having donated to Harry’s Archewell — and in the article about William and Kate, Time notes, “Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, are less concerned with cultural preservation and more attuned to social issues, tackling homelessness and rural mental health through their Royal Foundation and spotlighting innovative solutions to climate change through the Earthshot Prize, an environmental award founded by William in 2020.”
“Crucial to the Waleses’ approach is aligning social imperatives with sound business strategies and building corporate alliances to expand their reach. To support her ‘Shaping Us’ campaign, which champions well-being initiatives for children five and younger, Catherine convened a business task force that included the Lego Group and, to assess impact, consulting firm Deloitte. Last spring, the group published a report that concluded investing in early childhood programs could yield an additional £45.5 billion ($60 billion) for the U.K. economy annually. The finding spurred task force members to commit millions towards these initiatives.”
Sadly, Harry’s initiatives haven’t gone so well this year.
Trouble brewing with Prince Harry, African Parks: Insider
As I exclusively reported last month, Archewell was found to have given over $50,000 to an anti-Israel activist (upon learning from me about the allegation, Archewell immediately cut ties with the group), Harry is said to be reeling with depression after resigning from his beloved Sentebale charity which he founded with the Prince of Lesotho almost two decades ago amid a fight with the charity’s new chairwoman … and now there’s massive trouble afoot with his other beloved cause, African Parks.
Last week, it was announced that an investigation led by Cherie Blair — the wife of the former British Prime Minister Tony Blair — found that a charity Prince Harry is connected to admitted its rangers commit human rights abuses against those in the Republic of Congo Indigenous communities, according to reports.
Harry is on the board of African Parks and has worked alongside it in the past.
The investigation was looking into accusations that rangers for African Parks in the Republic of Congo were guilty of human rights abuses against the indigenous population including rape and torture.
Harry has not commented on African Parks.
