Live with Kelly and Mark is entering a new chapter.
After 37 years, the daytime talk show co-hosted by husband and wife duo Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa has closed its doors on its longtime studio — one in which they’ve made a handful of meaningful memories over the years, including rekindling after their 1996 breakup.
Days after their split, the pair — who first met at Consuelos’ All My Children audition in 1995 and costarred in the series — crossed paths in the studio to appear as surprise guests on Live with Regis and Kathie Lee. Despite trying to “get out” of filming the episode, they both ended up back on stage together to surprise an All My Children fan — and, upon reuniting, realized they wanted to be together.
“Obviously, seeing her it was like, ‘This is the worst decision of my life. I have to be with her forever,’ ” Consuelos told PEOPLE ahead of their last episode at the studio. “And I asked her to marry me and we flew to Vegas the next day.”
Ripa added, “Isn’t that wild? So we owe a lot to this place.”
So, is Live with Kelly and Mark ending? Here’s everything to know about the daytime series’ next chapter.

Good news, Live with Kelly and Mark fans! The daytime series isn’t closing its curtains — just its Upper West Side doors and finding a new home. The studio was previously located at 7 Lincoln Square in the uptown New York City neighborhood.
The first episode in its new space will air the week of April 7.
Why is Live with Kelly and Mark moving studios?

Ripa and Consuelos shared during an October 2024 episode of Live with Kelly and Mark that the longtime studio had been sold as other ABC shows began making their move to Disney’s new building downtown.
“Allegedly we’re moving downtown to this fancy shmancy state-of-the-art studio,” Ripa added.
Later that month, Ripa joked during an episode that their backstage looked like a “one show Walmart” as the team prepared for the move.
“If you work here, you will know backstage there is such seasonal confusion … There are wreaths, there are Christmas trees, I saw a turkey, there’s an American flag, a bunch of pumpkins,” she said. “If I didn’t know any better, I’d swear we were closing this studio down soon.”

Live with Kelly and Mark’s new home will be 7 Hudson Square, the Walt Disney Company’s new N.Y.C. headquarters.
The space holds many studios, some of which are home to The View and The Tamron Hall Show. While Live is one of the last ABC shows to migrate to the building, Good Morning America is also expected to make the move by the end of 2025.
Though Ripa told PEOPLE that the memories their longtime studio gave them will be “hard to replicate” in a new spot, she and Consuelos plan to take a number of keepsakes with them through the move to warm their show’s new home.
Consuelos is holding onto a statue of a golden retriever named Sammy that he has had his eyes on “since day 1,” while Ripa is planning to bring the Disney Legend honor award she received last August.
“The reason I’m bringing this with me downtown is because that building is so like, sparkily and Disneyfied, I feel like this is on brand. I feel like it’s a good use,” Ripa said. “Also, I feel like in my house, it feels very showy and I don’t want to show off my accolades … It’s going in a safe place in a sparkling new studio.”

Consuelos and Ripa opened up to PEOPLE in March 2025 about what the 7 Lincoln Square location has meant to them over the years — and how their kids, Michael, Lola and Joaquin, basically “grew up” at the studio space.
“They’d come visit mom here a lot — they were always backstage, even when they were babies,” Consuelos said of his wife, who has been a Live cohost since 2001.
Ripa added, “They would go to All My Children with me, they would come here with me … we meant when we say they grew up in this building, in these four walls.”
“You have to remember, I had my kids back in a time when maternity leave was not really a thing; we didn’t really know how to negotiate that or navigate that,” she continued. “But the good news is you could bring your kids to work with you.”
