A 10-year-old boy is fighting for his life in hospital tonight after being struck by a ute while riding an e-scooter on a busy road.

The little boy was rushed to emergency in serious condition — and the image of that tiny scooter next to the big utility vehicle has left everyone shaken and asking the same heartbreaking question: Who’s fault was this?

Was it the driver not seeing him? The lack of safe paths for kids on scooters? Or parents letting a 10-year-old ride on a main road?
