A teenager has revealed the chilling moment he thought he would die after being stabbed by by machete-wielding men who then stole his e-bike in Melbourne’s east.

Police say the teenager, who was 17 at the time, was approached by two unknown males at JW Manson Reserve on Selkirk Ave in Wantirna about 6.15pm on June 20.

Without warning, the two men attacked the teenager and pushed him off his e-bike.

“I was out riding my e-bike, stopped to check my phone, and was knocked off my bike from behind,” the teenager told the Herald Sun.

He said the men started “swinging the machetes at me when I was on the ground”.
