“There’s a growing community of animal advocates in northern Italy, and the region has a strong track record of supporting animal welfare,” he explained. “Plus, it’s central enough to make an impact across Europe.”

While the NFL superstar could have easily launched the center in the U.S., his global vision is clear: Dogtopia is meant to be a prototype — a model that can be replicated around the world.
