Snoop Dogg is bringing the juice back to The Voice.
Following a brief hiatus, the “Gin and Juice” rapper is set to return as a coach for the 28th season of the NBC singing competition series, the network announced April 23.
While the panel currently consists of Adam Levine, John Legend, Kelsea Ballerini and Michael Bublé, Snoop’s fellow coaches for the upcoming cycle have yet to be announced.
Snoop, 53, effortlessly charmed audiences with his blend of hilarity and heartfelt moments when he joined the series in 2024, but he previously admitted he didn’t see himself sitting in the iconic red chair for long.
“I had a great time on The Voice, I ain’t gonna front,” he said at a conference in September, according to OK Magazine. “But when I did the contract, I thought, ‘I’m gonna do this for one year and get up outta here.’”
However, Snoop seemingly warmed up to the idea of sticking around past season 26 after meeting his fellow coaches.
“Once I got to the set,” he continued, “I fell in love with Reba McEntire, Gwen Stefani and, unbelievably, me and Michael Bublé are like lost brothers.”
As for what sparked his interest in taking on the role in the first place, Snoop said he wanted a way to help emerging musicians while also showcasing his own expertise.

“This is a great opportunity for me to show that I really understand music and to be a real coach,” he explained during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in May, “and to really give direction to some of these artists that could be today’s next big thing.”
And Snoop was eager to work with artists from all kinds of genres, noting that he loves “all forms of music.”
“That’s why I feel like people attract to me, because I’m not one-sided,” he continued. “I’m not just for you. I’m for everybody. I’m the people’s champ.”
