The Duchess of Sussex said that she loves this friend “so much”.
Meghan Markle is spilling on the beans on who will join her next on With Love, Meghan.
On April 23, the Duchess of Sussex, 43, stepped out in New York City to attend the TIME100 Summit and made the revelation in conversation with TIME CEO Jessica Sibley. Meghan has had lots in the hopper this spring with the March 4 debut of her namesake Netflix series, April 2 product launch from her lifestyle brand As ever and April 8 premiere of her podcast Confessions of a Female Founder from Lemonada Media.
The two spoke about Meghan’s journey so far as an entrepreneur and Silbey asked who is next to join her on set.
“Who have you not had on your show or your podcast? Who would you want to get and mention today?” Silbey said.

“I will say, I’ve been so fortunate that, even before the series had aired, in talking about what the premise was and how conversational and relatable we wanted it to be, I was able to get legends like Alice Waters, who just, I just love her so much and we’ve now become friends,” Meghan replied, shouting out the chef and farm-to-table pioneer who joined her on season 1 of With Love.
“Having her on the show and also other friends as well who, we haven’t revealed things about season two and that’ll come through later. But I can apologize in advance for saying José Andrés is going to be on season two. We love José so much,” Meghan said. “So I think my wishlist has been, I’ve been fortunate to have the people that I want on the show… I’ve been really lucky. We have a great, great lineup.”

Andrés is a longtime friend and collaborator of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and the couple’s Archewell Foundation has supported the celebrity chef’s charitable World Central Kitchen since the foundation’s inception in 2020. World Central Kitchen is a nonprofit working to feed communities impacted by humanitarian crises and in a full-circle tie, Andrés wrote the reflection for Harry and Meghan’s inclusion in TIME’s 100 Most Influential People of 2021 list.
The chef and restauranteur, 55, also publicly teamed up with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to assist with the relief effort following the deadly wildfires that ravaged southern California in January. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited World Central Kitchen’s hub in Pasadena, Calif., to distribute food and supplies to victims of the Eaton Fire on Jan. 10 and later met up with Andrés at the food stations to praise relief teams.
Exclusively speaking to PEOPLE about that experience, Andrés said that it meant much to him for Harry and Meghan to “show up” and be there
“I mean, listen, I consider them friends. I know they are in the spotlight — not just in America, but in Britain — and what I can tell you from what I know is that they don’t have to, but they decide to do it,” Andrés told PEOPLE.
He added that “the amazing thing is that they show up” and that their warmth uplifted others.
“The hugs I saw [them] give to the people that recognize them and even the people that don’t recognize them, it’s people that just want somebody to listen to them, and give them a hug,” he tells PEOPLE. “I’m just glad that they show up like so many others.”
All bets are on that the chef and Meghan will team up in the kitchen on the next season of With Love, Meghan, which PEOPLE exclusively revealed will return for a second season this fall. The second season of the show has already been filmed and sees Michael Steed return as director, and Meghan mentioned at the TIME100 Summit why she didn’t film it in her actual house!

“On this show, it’s a crew of 80 people,” Meghan said. “People said, ‘Why didn’t you film the show in your house?’ I said, ‘My kids are coming home for their nap.’ Eighty people in the kitchen isn’t really the childhood memory I would love for them to have.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are parents to Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3, and Prince Harry joined Meghan at the TIME100 Summit.
