Police Intensify Search for Missing 6-Year-Old Vulnerable Child Ramon “RJ” Jett in Riverdale
Authorities in Georgia are urgently asking for the public’s help as the search continues for 6-year-old Ramon “RJ” Jett, a vulnerable missing child who disappeared in Riverdale on Sunday.
The Clayton County Police Department has launched a large-scale search operation after Ramon was last seen between approximately 11:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on June 28 in the 8000 block of Webb Road.
Police say the young boy is considered especially vulnerable because he is nonverbal and has a mental health condition, increasing concerns for his safety and making every passing hour critical.

According to investigators, Ramon, who also goes by “RJ,” is approximately 3 feet 5 inches tall and weighs about 40 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. At the time he disappeared, he was wearing a light green shirt, camouflage shorts, and white socks.
Since receiving the missing child report, law enforcement agencies have mobilized an extensive search effort across the surrounding area.
The operation includes patrol officers, detectives, K-9 teams, drone operators, dive units, and additional emergency personnel who are carefully searching neighborhoods, wooded areas, waterways, and other locations where a child could potentially seek shelter.
Police say officers are leaving no area unchecked as they work around the clock to locate the missing six-year-old safely.
Authorities are also urging nearby residents to assist in the search by checking their own properties.
Investigators are asking homeowners to carefully inspect backyards, sheds, garages, wooded sections, playground equipment, vehicles, and any small spaces where a frightened child may have wandered or hidden.
Officials emphasize that because Ramon is nonverbal, he may not respond if someone calls his name, making a careful visual search especially important.
The Clayton County Police Department has stressed that this remains an active and ongoing investigation. Detectives continue gathering information while search crews systematically expand their efforts throughout the surrounding community.
Community members have already begun sharing missing person alerts across social media in hopes of spreading Ramon’s photo and description to as many people as possible.
Police say even the smallest piece of information could prove crucial in locating the child.
Authorities are asking anyone who sees Ramon or believes they may have information regarding his whereabouts not to approach the situation alone if possible, but instead contact emergency services immediately.
Anyone with information is urged to call 911 without delay.
Law enforcement officials say every minute matters in cases involving vulnerable children, and they remain committed to bringing Ramon home safely.
Family members continue waiting anxiously for answers as search teams work tirelessly throughout the area.
The Clayton County Police Department thanked residents for their cooperation and urged the public to remain vigilant until Ramon is found.
As the search enters its next phase, investigators hope that increased public awareness and community involvement will help reunite the six-year-old with his loved ones as quickly and safely as possible.
