The former Prince Andrew has relocated to the Sandringham estate, and a “long list” of staffers have reportedly opted out of serving him.

A source told The Sun in a report published on Feb. 4, “They’ve been told they don’t have to serve Andrew or work for him if they feel uncomfortable. There is already quite a list saying no thanks. There is understandably a lot of disquiet as he is now a total pariah.”

News emerged that the former prince, now known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, would vacate his longtime home at Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park in October, along with the announcement that King Charles was stripping his brother of his royal titles and honors. Andrew moved out of the 30-room mansion on Feb. 2, PEOPLE confirms, and the King will privately fund his brother’s lodging moving forward.

Andrew, 65, is expected to reside temporarily at Wood Farm on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk before relocating to another nearby property, Marsh Farm, which is undergoing renovations. However, those close to the situation don’t believe the royal family will be able to push Andrew out of Wood Farm.

“It’s a place he has long preferred and wanted to return to, rather than Marsh Farm, which is viewed as far more exposed,” a source tells PEOPLE.

Andrew had already stepped back from his royal role after a disastrous 2019 BBC interview addressing his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. However, the King’s decision to strip his brother of his royal titles came amid renewed interest in the relationship last year.

Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, are back in the headlines after the Department of Justice’s Jan. 30 release of Epstein-related evidence. The former Duke and Duchess of York appear in newly unveiled email exchanges and photos, including images that appear to show Andrew kneeling on all fours over an unidentified woman on the ground.

Andrew has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing and has not responded to PEOPLE’s request for comment about the latest batch of evidence.

Andrew and Ferguson’s two daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, retained their royal titles and recently joined King Charles and the royal family for Christmas without their parents.

Royal author Robert Jobson tells PEOPLE of the sisters, “They are pretty torn because they believed [their father]. Just like the late Queen and Charles, Andrew told them all the same story — that he had done nothing wrong. My understanding is they feel pretty duped by the whole thing.”

Jobson says Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, 35, are struggling with the fallout. “I do think they believed their father, and now it has all backfired,” he tells PEOPLE. “I know that Eugenie, especially, has found it very difficult.”
