‘I’m just so happy they can move forward.’
Two of Australia’s swimming stars have called an end to their four-year relationship.
Pop star turned professional swimmer Cody Simpson and 14-time Olympic medallist Emma McKeon bonded over their shared sporting passion and began their high-profile romance in 2022.

Cody’s sister, TV personality and podcast host Alli Simpson confirmed her brother’s split with McKeon on The Morning Show on Wednesday, while chatting about the new season of her podcast So Alli.
She said she still had love for McKeon, but remained tight-lipped about her brother’s break-up.

“She is like sunshine in human form, so I’m just so happy they can move forward,” Alli said.
Alli said she hoped McKeon and her brother could be given privacy.
“I don’t want to speak for either of them, this is their private time and their business and I love them both dearly,” Alli said.
Cody’s Instagram no longer appears to feature any pictures of McKeon, but the swimming stars have not personally made any public comments about the break-up.
Despite making headlines throughout their relationship, McKeon has previously called herself “a private person” who tries to block out bursts of media furore, opening up about private matters with only trusted friends and family.
