A man has been arrested after another was found dead in the driveway of a home that was on fire in Sydney’s west, as police investigate what they believe was a targeted attack.
Emergency services were called to Wargon Crescent in Glenmore Park shortly before 1am on Thursday following reports of a fire.
Police attended the scene and located the body of a man in his 60s outside a partially alight property.

He is yet to be formally identified.
Fire and Rescue NSW attended and extinguished the blaze, which started near a blue Commodore in the driveway before spreading to part of the house.
‘The first arriving crew located a small fire at the front of the premises and it was quickly extinguished with a hose,’ a spokesman told the Daily Mail.
A crime scene was established as detectives launched an investigation into the blaze.
Following inquiries, a man, 36, was arrested five hours later when he was found inside a car in nearby Werrington.

The man was treated by paramedics for minor injuries and taken to Nepean Hospital under police guard.
Authorities are investigating whether the blaze was a targeted attack, according to a report by Sunrise.
Police and forensic officers remain at the cordoned-off home on Thursday morning.
A nearby footpath was strewn with evidence markers.
No charges have been laid.
