New South Wales Police have arrested and charged Corum Ash with murder. Ash was wanted for a string of violent assaults in Sydney – one that has allegedly now left a 74-year-old man dead. Police had been hunting Ash since Sunday evening when a warrant was put out for his arrest for the alleged attempted murder of an elderly man in Yennora on Saturday morning.
The arrest came as Police were informed that the 74-year-old man had died in hospital. He was married with six children.
Emergency services were called to Orchardleigh Street, Yennora at around 4.40am on Saturday, following reports a man was found unconscious on the side of the road.

Paramedics treated the 74-year-old man at the scene, before he was rushed to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.
A crime scene was established and investigations commenced under Strike Force Furena.
It was initially thought the man was assaulted while out on his morning walk however Police have not been able to confirm this as the man remained unconscious.
Ash had been in custody on Saturday after a woman was allegedly assaulted in Carlingford, in an unrelated incident. Ash was taken down in a ‘citizen’s arrest’ before being taken to Gladesville Police Station and charged with common assault.
He was granted bail and will appear in court again in August.
At the time of the arrest in Carlingford, Police did not know of the link with the Yennora attack but further investigations led Police to believe Ash was allegedly responsible for both.
7News can reveal that Ash has also been charged by Strike Force Furena in relation to a third incident.
A 65 year old man was allegedly assaulted on Fowler Road in Guildford last Wednesday night. Video shows the aftermath of an alleged unprovoked brawl that played out between the two men.
It’s understood the 65 year old was getting into his campervan when Ash attacked him. Ash is said to have stormed the campervan, trashed the inside before fleeing the scene.
Ash has been charged with common assault in relation to the Guilford incident. He has been refused bail and will appear in Parramatta Court on Tuesday.
