BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Police are investigating after an 18-year-old died after a shooting on Boulevard De Province.
Emergency officials responded to the scene Sunday afternoon along Boulevard De Province, which runs between Interstate 12 and Old Hammond Highway. The Baton Rouge Police Department reported that officers responded to the 1700 block just before 2:30 p.m., where the victim was found with multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim, later identified by police and the East Baton Rouge Coroner’s Office as Jeffari Kaglear, 18, died from his injuries after being rushed into surgery.
Police stated that no suspects have been developed as of Monday afternoon.
An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 225-344-7867.
