Two people have died after their high-powered Lamborghini crashed on a highway, marking a horror 24 hours on Queensland’s roads.

The 45-year-old woman and 44-year-old man were travelling in the luxury sports car along the Mount Lindesay Highway near Beaudesert when their car lost control about 5.40pm on Sunday.

The pair died at the scene.

Footage of their Lamborghini Gallardo being towed from the scene shows the significant damage to the vehicle.

It has been a horror 24 hours on the roads in South East Queensland, with another two serious crashes leaving several people fighting for life.

A truck and sedan collided at Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast about 4.20am on Monday, causing the truck to flip onto its side and trapping the driver of the car inside her vehicle.

The woman suffered significant head injuries and was rushed to hospital in a life-threatening condition.

The truck driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

Earlier on Sunday, two cars and a motorcycle collided on Tamborine Mountain Rd at about 10.40am, leaving five people with critical injuries.

They all remained in hospital as of Monday morning.
